This book will be useful for understanding specific neurologic challenges faced by people with traumatic brain injury, as well as people with cognitive impairments of idiopathic origin. The book specifies techniques for assessing and compartmentalizes numerous areas of cognitive function adding depth as well as breadth to the monumental task of functional assessment faced by occupational therapists. This is a book that will remain in my office library from the beginning of my practice until retirement.
My book came very quickly after I ordered it. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the softcover book was wrapped tightly in a bubble wrap package and is (very) slightly damaged - not damaged enough to merit a return. I bought the book brand new so I wasn't expecting this. Overall, though, I am happy with my order.
I liked this book okay. It was a nice compliment to "occupational therapy for physical dysfunction" I thought it read a little dry. I do like that it lists 'implications for impairments' It also has a CD, which is always nice for the visual learners.
Book was very informative and it served its purpose. Great buy for the amount of money that I paid for it.
This book was printed wrong. It has the first 14 pages, the SAME 14 pages again and then skips to page 47! I'm hoping the replacement has all of the pages.
Nice book. I like that it's so handy and easy to access. It's much more convenient to carry around than a big bulky book.
