If you are interested in learning to trade options or futures then John Ondercin is the person to contact. This is an introductory workbook that explains the basics of options. I have purchased, used and highly recommend several trading courses offered by John Ondercin and his company Invest to success. When you read this beginner's guide you will see that John has a unique way of simplifying the very complex world of options. Without exaggeration, I believe that the value of his educational resources is ten times the cost. Give it a try.
There are thousands of different options out there when it comes to stock market courses, training, information, and strategies. I have found that John Ondercin is hands-down one of the best teachers in his craft. It is fairly common knowledge that training related to the stock market can be extremely boring, dry, and tedious as I have experienced with other courses and teachers. And like with any new skill you learn in life, you are only as good as your teacher. But somehow Ondercin can extract the fun and excitement out of trading, while delivering knowledge and training that the average person can understand and absorb easily. When it comes to most anything related to the stock market training, this is rare. I subscribe to his courses online and his video lessons are far superior to any other training I have received. To anyone looking to get into the stock market (including stocks, options, e-minis, futures, or forex trading) for the first time, or to learn a new strategy or skill set within it, make sure you invest in John's training. He is a top notch teacher!
The book was well written and explained some of the basics of options for true beginners. Focused primarily on how to figure profits on options, but doesn't get real deep into strategies. It was a short book that focused on a few items, and teaches it so a beginner can really understand. If you are looking for a book that teaches a lot about options you may be disappointed. If you just want to touch on some of the basics, it explains a few things well. It is truly a beginners book, and a little too short and basic for me.

This book is written in simple to understand English. It walks you through the most basic options concepts all people that want to trade then MUST know. Do not expect specific strategies for option trading... Still, a great book for beginners.
This is great for the absolute novice. It does make calculating your profits easier by simplifying math but it's not for anyone already somewhat familiar with options terminology or what options are. For the price, and the absolute beginner, it's worthwhile
As an experienced trader, I found this book to be an excellent simplified basic overview of option trading. I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about trading options and to those who are just starting out. There is a lot of good solid, non-biased, information in it, that is important for anyone who in interested in option trading.
I wouldn't touch this book. From the StarTribune (Minneapolis/St. Paul) on 15 August 2015, article "IRS investigating Minnesota options trader, investment coach": (Ondercin) "is under criminal investigation by the IRS for allegedly evading nearly $350,000 in income taxes and filing false returns."According to his lawyer, he went to a seminar and learned about re-routing income through a private foundation so that he could avoid having to pay taxes. He channeled money through various bank accounts, of which he had 32 in various names/entities. Ondercin was said to have told an undercover agent that "...he learned that a person could buy a Hummer through a private foundation and all that’s required to write it off is to use it to take kids four-wheeling once a year.""The IRS says that Ondercin and (name deleted) routed their payments from Invest To Success through other business entities. One of the entities, a private foundation set up to help the elderly, victims of Hurricane Katrina and others, listed Ondercin’s parents as officers, but they told the IRS it was “in name only,” the affidavit said. The foundation never filed a required informational tax return and was dissolved by the IRS in 2013."According to the article "The IRS says that Ondercin recently sold his former residence located in Excelsior for but concealed nearly $300,000 in profits that he “spent on personal expenditures.(sic)".According to the Strib, his website claims this book to be an bestseller.
