If you have a desire to be a successful options trader, you need to have an excellent understanding of option volatility. When I was researching for this book, I couldn’t find a decent book that broke down the key concepts into an easy to digest format. Most of the books out the on option volatility are either overpriced, a sales pitch or both. There are a couple of excellent books, but they are just far too complex and difficult to understand for retail traders.With this book, you will find complex ideas broken down into simple to understand and easy to read chunks. You won’t get bogged down in heavy, overly academic chapters. What you will achieve is a new understanding and appreciation for some of the most important, yet frequently ignored concepts in options trading.

Love McMaster's books, as he states in his titles, NO BS, just straight up,to the point options analysis and details on what you need to know to effectively trade options. He also provides a great learning website for option trading tools, resources and strategies.
Excelent introduction to volatility. Right to the point. I found specially interesting the chapter about the history of the VIX, because it gives you a true insight and an historical perspective. Real value for its cost
Like any other Gavin Books, this one is also written in a clear and concise fashion and in a way that beginners and advanced options traders can understand. I liked the Q&A section where he takes viewer questions and responds to those.
This book offers a fairly decent overview on the subject of volatility.A good understanding of this concept can raise your level from a mediocre to a consistently profitable trader. The author does a reasonable job explaining this, though I occasionally do not quite agree with some of his statements.The strategy section could use also some additional input.But at least the author knows what he is talking about, which cannot be said of several college term papers which recently appear left and right as ebooks and are not even worth the epaper they are written on.
What every option trader needs to read b4 entering the option world. Great work and thoroughly enjoyed with real easy and understandable way of explaining option volatility. Great work and look forward to the next in the series.
