This book is filled with spectacular shots of lighthouses all over the country. The sights are so beautiful that you will be inspired to travel from coast to coast to see them. I am a lover of lighthouses, but I feel sure that everyone will delight in these beautiful pictures. Ms. Highsmith has outdone herself once again. I highly recommend this book!!
This is a great book for those who love photographs of lighthouses. There are some stunning examples in this collection, which focuses exclusively on American lighthouses. There is little in the way of text and the book is only a modest 65 pages. But it is value priced and worthy of a lighthouse lover's collection.
Full-color 1 and 2 page photographs of many U.S.lighthouses. Some are 8x11 and others a bit smaller and on beautiful quality shiny paper. Although lighthouses are not in use much today, many have been preserved for posterity. Some have been turned into Bed & Breakfast Inns.The book gives a brief description of location and history of each lighthouse pictured. Very fascinating stories from the past. I used the book as a reference. I had several Lighthouse Calendars that did not identify the individual lighthouses -- so in going through this book, I was able to identify and name almost every lighthouse I looked for. It is a very interesting andinformative book -- the photographs alone make it a wonderful volume to own. Lovely book!
Great book if you love lighthouses the way I do . When I look at a lighthouse I think about my Savior for he is our guiding light if we will just in him and let him guide us to where we need to be.
