This book offers examples of several types of questions with sample tests. It would better serve the reader to be a little less wordy and offer a few more testing examples.
Generally good information; specifically not real close to the testing I went through. However, I would recommend.
In my case, the test that was administered was not even close to what is in this book. I completed the testing on a computer with a headset.The items were shipped in a timely manner.
I was trying to find a book that would help me with an upcoming Dispatcher/911 Operator Exam and did I find the right book!!! It was very close to the exam that I had taken. It contains very helpful information and gives great example questions. I highly recommend this book!!!
Unfortunately, this book did not assist me any in the 911 Operator Exam I took. I think that if you are taking the exam for New York/New Jersey, it would assist you better since it references those states.
I felt that the majority of the book was just explaining things other than 911 Operator Examinations. I was about half way through before I found anything useful.
If you are looking for a book to help yourself prepare for a written exam for a dispatcher position, this is the book for you! I have taken a test before not being prepared and didn't pass. I bought this book and it has some great information about how to find jobs and tips for preparing for an interview to getting your resume ready. There is two complete sample tests in the book along with tips to help you get ready for your exam. I took 2 days to read this book and studied by going through the sample exams and when I went to take my exam I felt so much better and more prepared. My test results are soon to be coming. This is a great resource to have and a great start for a new career.
I ended up not even needing it. The job required minimal 'common sense'. I guess it would have helped pass the exam though.
