PeriAnesthesia Nursing Core Curriculum has a great deal of useful updated info. But, I was alittle disappointed to not have the end of chapter review questions that was included in the previous edition.
this book is just an outline...i prefer to read about topics and be able to review examples and rationales...i wish i had not wasted so much money on this...i have since purchase other postanesthesia care books for RNs and am very happy with them....
All the material is presented in outline form which I personally find difficult to follow. It would've been easier I think to comprehend and retain if it had been written in more of a narritive formate.
This book is hard to read. It's basically in an outline form. Good for reference material in a perianesthesia setting.
There is alot of information to read through. I like the outline form but I wish there would be bold tye to define the very important things needed to take the exam. I think more ambulatory examples/outline shudl be initated.
I an using this book to study for the CAPA exam. It is a great concise reference. It is in an outline format but has all the major diseases, signs,symptoms, tests, and treatments that you need to know for each body system.
Lois Schick used to help write the CAPA & CPAN certifications tests, and now she is helping those of us who are preparing for the certification test learn the material to pass the test. I great study tool.
I didn't really get the information iw as hoping for. I wanted to use the text to share information with novice practitioners. What it will provide is informaiton pertinent to simulation exercises i think
