I bought this text for a world geography course, and I have to say it's actually a pretty good text. I especially like the online website that goes along with this text. It has a lot of helps to learn the information like flashcards and multiple choice practice questions. There was an interactive map for each section that also quizzed you on the countries, states, and even the physical features of each area. The text itself is well organized, and each chapter is divided into subchapters that focus on each region. This text is a great choice if you want to learn about world geography.
books ok don't have a problem with it, just not that much different from previous edition, change very little to have to buy new edition
I'm still in the process of reading this textbook, but overall it seems very well organized. The chapters are divided into 'realms' and each chapter then divided into two sections, the first is a quick history of the realm and the second is about each country in its respective realm. Easy reading, though there seemed to be a few....egotistical phrases in the introduction (e.g. something along the lines of the USA is the most formidable country in the world).
This book provided exactly what I needed, and it wasn't as expensive to rent it as it would have been to buy it.I don't use it as much as I'd like to be able to give it a better review, however it beats all competitor prices.
It's a college book what more do you say about it? It arrived less than 48 hours after we purchased it with "Prime" shipping.Be sure you are getting the correct edition you need, we bounced back and forth between this and another based on the schools requirement vs the Professor's desires.Only 4 stars because it is just a book ya know? If it read to me, or tucked me in at night, 5 stars no problem....
