Having read Journey Without Maps, Graham Greene's book on this same trip, I was thrilled to make the journey again with his cousin Barbara. She gets used to sleeping with rats running around her and when they are down to "tinned" turnips of the food they traveled with she eats everything served. Wonderful escape from 2013 reading.
