When trying hard to improve reading section of a standard test, my weekly tests Beestar online are not only effective, Beestar also recommends this book as one additional resource. The questions included in the book are similar to the ones found on the SAT, setting my expectation right for the test day. Each question includes answer key with a concise explanation that is easy to follow and has helped me to full understand the concepts. I can easily start with the book and continue following the flow. Very nicely organized. I feel my study more effectively to improving my best score. Weeks after I started with this book, my weekly rank in Beestar test increased dramatically, moreover I understand better what I am doing and could feel the testing purpose of the questions in a lot of cases. This book ranks #9 in overall workbook section, it is truly a great one to have!
This book really helped to increase my son's ACT reading score. He used this along with the practice tests in the Real ACT book and Princeton Review, and my son managed to score a 32 on the reading portion of the ACT his first time taking the test. I would recommend this book. It is great for practice.
This is a good book with some nice reading selections. There are some typos (we've noticed probably five already and have done maybe 20 reading selections in this book). We also came across as incorrect answer in the answers section. I like using this with the students I tutor, but I wish it has been peer reviewed a bit better.
This book will help you improve your reading comprehension skills. By answering the questions at the end of each passage, you will see how well you understood the passage by comparing your response to the correct answer in the book.
My kids gave this book high marks to help them improve critical reading on ACT and SAT. It's beter than the other "501" series of books.
This book has a variety of topics and has helped me increased my reading comprehension significantly. I am very satisfied and would recommend it to everybody.
Straight forward help with reading comprehension and keeping on topic. I have a nursing exam coming up I got this to sharpen my reading skills. Hope it works!
Again, copying is a problem because of the size. Otherwise, this is a great tool for classroom use. Waiting for a full size version.
