It's a keeper. I often rent my books, but this one had so much valuable information, it was worth buying. 2nd Ed and 3rd Ed. are exactly alike until chapter 13 where it goes into new technology, online bullying and sexting laws. Check with your professor if you go with the older edition for the price. Worked for me, but I still would have bought the updated one if I had to. Would actually be worth buying another in a few years when laws change, etc.
This text includes a copy of the Ethical Guidelines for School Counselors as set forth by the ASCA in the appendices in the back. Having this on hand has proved to be very helpful in all of the graduate courses.
This was bought for my Professional School Counselor class. It is a reader-friendly book that brings to light many case studies of ethical issues for PSC's. It makes you think and is a must read for all PSC's.
I attended a workshop by her and she indeed is an expert in this subject. Super nice lady. The book is a must have for any school counselor and should be a mandatory textbook for any college course on the subject.

Awesome book. Extremely helpful. Outlined all of the laws and gave other counselor's advice on how they would handle a situation. Good book. This is a book filled with case studies.
