Great book for somebody wanting to learn the art of ventriloquism. It is basic and deals with the subject in an easy to understand manner. I highly recommend this book for any beginner.
Cheery and breezy, this well written, easy to understand book takes you from your first exercises on how to talk without moving your lips, to dealing with the "problem letters" (W, P, B, M, and F) to advanced techniquies such as the distant voice and echoed voice, to writing your own scripts and preparing for performance. Along the way. Mr. King provides you with several routines that you can use to sharpen and refine your skills as well as advice on giving your best when performing. Highly recommended, indeed!
While this book is not as comprehensive as some books on ventriloquism, it offered some valuable basic "how-tos" at learning the art. Every part of this book had worthwhile information that a budding ventriloquist can use in his/her at. I appreciate the author taking his time to share his experiences that he's picked up along the way.
A handy guide to learn ventriloquism complete with tips and some great scripts. I enjoyed that it wasn't too long making it easier to use for reference and easy to take along and read anywhere. A good find.
Don't be fooled by the title. Excellent wide range coverage of all aspects of ventriloquism. A must have book.
I purchased this book for my daughter's 9th birthday from along with a ventriloquist dummy and several ventrioquism DVD's. The book is such a major disappointment. The author is too busy using the book as a means to push his religion and finding Jesus to offer anything of substance. This very thin book is filled with fluff. He tells the reader how to record an engagement in their calendar. In another section the author even writes out the alphabet not once, but twice for those poor folks who are not sufficiently familiar.A real dissapointment!
