This is such a cool kindle book for kids! I purchased this book for my 6yr old son who loves penguins. The book is beautifully illustrated and is simple enough not to be overwhelming. It is probably the best Penguin book I've purchased for my son and he has many because he just loves penguins. It is such a beautiful and fun book for kids. It has become my son’s favorite book for bedtime story and he never gets tired of it. I often find him just looking at the pictures. The pictures are great and the facts are educational so you can teach your kids about animals and subtly convey to them the importance of wildlife and conservation. I would highly recommend it to everyone with kids because they are really going to enjoy it. As an adult, I even loved this book. I received a discount on the product for my honest review.
This book is cute and is good for my kids to use on their new kindle. It has lots of fun penguin pictures and several facts about penguins too. The facts are all displayed on a page with a cartoon penguin, which my kids like, but I am not a huge fan. A couple of the pages have so much text, that it runs onto the cartoon which makes it very hard to read. I've also found a couple typos in the text so not sure if this book went through a very vigorous editing process.The pictures are fun. My kids are always giggling at the different types of penguins. I do wish the pictures were labeled though. They somewhat correspond with the text, but not completely. There is definitely a picture of some other type of penguin between two text pages about emperor penguins which is kind of annoying. Again, my kids don't mind, but I don't want them getting confused between the different types of penguins.Overall, it is a fun book for the kids so I'm glad they have it to use on their kindle. I received for free from the kindle store, but I'm not sure I would want to actually pay for the book
I loaded this on the Kindle for my Granddaughter who is 7.5 years old. She loves Penguins and loved the movie Happy Feet so new this would be a hit with her. Well she did Love the book and the pictures as I expected and she went through it many times but then turned to me and said "Grammy this is way to easy for me do you think I am a Baby or what" I answered her and told her why I got the book she then showed me the book and as cute as it is well it was to easy for her . She is an Advanced Reader and this is more for 3-5 year old. Guess I should have read this closer but not to fear her sister who will be 3 in Feb. really enjoyed the book and Loved looking at the pictures and having her sister reading to her. This was quiet time for the 2 of them for about 30 minutes so it was enjoyed by both. So Grandparents if you have little ones this is a great book for you to have on your Kindle so you can read to them quite that special time.I received this for free during a promotion in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This is the same publisher that did the Baby Animals Kindle book, which I was ecstatic about -- this one is good and really worth while, but not quite as special as the Baby Animals book. The pictures themselves are nice, and panoramic shots are fun - they are on at least 2 panels, so when you flip back and forth you can see how the penguins cover the landscape -- the nature facts are on "cartoon" pages, so you can easily find them when flipping through on a repeat read -- and there is also conservation and endangered species information -- so for a young reader it is fun to look at and also educational. Probably this one is for a slightly older age - maybe kindergarten age rather than toddler. Captions as to which penguin was which in the pictures would have been helpful -- but all in all, it's a good children's book on kindle -- I received this product in exchange for an honest review -- If my review helped you answer any questions, or allowed you to figure out if you should purchase or not, please indicate that my review was helpful :)
This is a very cute picture book that I was able to download onto my Kindle. I have a 4 year old nephew and a 3 year old niece that I spend time with on a regular basis. They both love book and especially books about different animals. I loved that I was able to download this and read it to them right away. The pictures are awesome and they had a lot of fun looking at all of the different ones. It also has fun facts throughout the book that were educational. I can see that we will be reading this one again in the very near future. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that there are a few typos throughout the book. Which really isn't a big deal to small children but something I always find a bit bothersome. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. I take the time to write accurate and thoughtful reviews and I hope this helped you.
This book is super cute. My seven year old son loves penguins, and we read this together for his reading homework. Honestly, it's mostly pictures, but there are a lot of good penguin facts in this book as well. The pictures are good, and show several different types of penguins.The facts are easy to understand, and provide information without being overly technical. This is a good book, in my opinion, from about kindergarten age through second grade. I think any child older than that would be a little underwhelmed by it. Overall, my son and I both enjoyed it quite a bit, and I would certainly recommend it for a child of that age, especially if they are already interested in penguins.I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
