telling your child's story is what every parent and myself as a grandparent strives to perfect. in her new book, Your Child in Pictures, Me Ra Koh addresses each age with many suggestions of photo stories to adapt to your child. i plan to practice first on the chapter with ideas for 3-4 year olds using her ideas in the book to capture my granddaughters putting on their tutus and dancing. as they twirl, they become unaware of the camera. putting the music on, they are free to dance and the innocence of childhood unfolds into a beautiful story to capture. thanks, Me Ra Koh for this awesome tool, Your Child in Pictures, to help tell the photo stories of each of my grandchildren.
Me Ra has done it again. Her first book helped me truly capture my children's first year of life. I'm so excited that her second book doesn't disappoint for the next ages in your child's life. Photo Recipes for ages 1-10 for everything and anything you may encounter. I love her style of transparent teaching, telling you everything she did to capture each photo. The book is simple for anyone to use, whether you are using a point and shoot camera or a DSLR. I love how the beginning has extras on choosing the right camera and tips for capturing the entire story.
The kindle editing seems off to me and it messes with the keywords required to login to the extras that the author has graciously added to her website. That aside, if you do buy this, do not skip her introduction. It is soo wonderfully heartwarming and it really captures the essence of why us moms want to figure out photography.
Love the book! Great photographer. I had the pleasure to meet MeRa Kohand she is one of the most nicest person I have met. She is very enthusiastic and so positive to be around. Her book is a reflection of her great personality.
Purchased a Christmas gift for my sister with a baby and a toddler. Looks very practical and has a lot of great advice on capturing the everyday experiences of children. Well-written with beautiful example photographs.
I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Your Child In Pictures. I purchased Your Baby On Pictures over a year ago and I find myself referring back to that book for inspiration and instruction. This book exceeds all expectation and I know I will use this book just as much as the first. There are 40 different recipes in this book that will inspire you to capture those fleeting moments of childhood. Each recipe includes how to set up the shot, and aLso the camera settings. This book is perfect for any Mom (or Dad) that wants to improve their photography, take meaningful images of their child and to be inspired. You will love it!
Has a ton of great information and suggestions, found it to be very helpful, and I like that it was broken down by age groups. it does help that on most of the photographs there is the information about how that picture was made. I like to know the ISO< Aperture< as well shutter speed in the pictures that are shown. Nice and easy to understand.
Me Ra's 1st book, Your Baby In Pictures, is awesome and I love giving it as a gift for baby showers! Your Child in Pictures is an AH-MAZING follow-up to the 1st book! I will be sharing this book with friends and giving it as gifts to moms I know! The layout is so easy to follow. I love the photo recipes and the visual of the image captured! It is so important to capture these fleeting moments in our kids lives and Me Ra makes that so easy for moms to accomplish with her books! I can't wait to give some of these a try!
