This eBook is a great reference material for elementary school kids. I love to see pictures in a science book, and this ebook includes a good variety of really vivid pictures/illustration that students will appreciate. The book explains content and show pictures along with content and by itself. Illustrations really talk on this ebook. You can see a sample of what I am taking about below. I really love it! My three year old daughter was asking me questions and saying "its so pretty". I receive this ebook for free in exchange of my honest review.
"Human Organs, What & Why?" is an educational (albeit short) digital book that is great for kids interested in the human body! My daughter is 8 years old and just finished 2nd grade. I purchased this book (and several others in the same series) for her to read over the summer before starting 3rd grade. I was a little disappointed that they were so short (only 18 pages, not enough to cover all of the body systems for sure!), but the pictures are very vibrant and engaging for young readers. The book can definitely be read over and over. I would personally recommend this book for a slightly younger reader (the description states “Third Grade Science Series”), maybe late 1st grade to early 2nd grade depending on reading level…definitely not challenging for a 3rd grader! It would have been great if this book could have been a bit longer and covered all of the major body systems, instead you only get 7 organs covered, but you do get to see an artists drawing of the organ and then an actual image of the same organ, and that is a very interesting way to present the information, especially for early learners. Overall, interesting and informational book series for kiddos, but don’t expect it to take more than 5 minutes for your 3rd grader to read all the way through it. (I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review, the information above is my own personal opinion).
I really like reading informative kids' books. When I saw this for free for my Kindle I wanted to read it. I thought this book was really well written and laid out in a way that made sense. The pictures were really good showing the organ and where it is located in the body. This is a book written for children in 3rd grade or older. The book is not very long, but has some great information in it. I think that a book being for 3rd graders should be a bit longer. The 16 page book filled mostly with pictures would be more for 3 to 5 year olds since they have such a short attention span. Overall, good information in here. The vocabulary is for 3rd graders, but the length and pictures are for preschoolers.I received this product at discount for my honest testing and review. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review and receive no incentives or rewards for doing so. My aim is to highlight features and drawbacks that I would want to know about as a buyer, not hype the product for the manufacturer. My remarks are sincere and my own. While it is true that many items are received at discounted rates or complimentary, my reviews are completely honest and are my personal experiences with the product. Again, it is just my opinion, your own opinion might vary. I received no monetary compensation and I am not required to give a good review.
Our son loves to read. And he will read anything. He is in 1st grade, but is reading at a higher level. If you give him a book, he is happy and content to just sit in his room and read the whole book. And he just doesn't read his books once. He reads them over and over.He had a fun time reading this book. There is so much information in the book that he is now asking for more. He loves reading the facts and information first, then going back to look at all the pictures. Once he starts reading, he just wants to keep reading. The information and pictures are very accurate and detailed that he can sit for hours just looking at the pictures and noticing different things each time. I look forward to more books from the author so that I can get them for him.I received this e-book at a discount to read and give an honest review. My 7 year old son and I like to read all kinds of books. Physical and e-books. If my son likes the book, then I ask him what he liked about it. He will always tell me what he didn’t like about the book. Some books he mostly reads without looking at the pictures but if the pictures can keep his attention, he will spend a lot of time looking at them. He is very easily distracted, and if the book doesn’t interest him, then I know that he doesn’t like the book. We try to give a complete and 100% accurate review of the books we read. I confess, I wasn't expecting much from this book after having received many books from this publisher for free before. This book is called a third grade science textbook. This book does not deserve to be called a textbook, much less a third grade textbook. If whatever is in this book is the only thing taught to our third graders these days, then no wonder our society is as superficial and unknowing as it is. Excerpt from the book: "The skin is a major organ that covers our entire body. Skin is the human body's largest organ." And? That's it? What function does our skin serve? What is it made up of? You are a third grade textbook, so please give the proper information that a third grade textbook is supposed to give or do not call yourself that!
