So I have bought 2 books from the same author before and I can still say that the author(s) have not failed me. This book is so cool and full of color that it just attracts a reader to want to open the book and start to learn. The mnemonic idea is brilliant because this is a perfect tool to remember certain disease states. This book is also very compact that it fits right into my white coat. I highly recommend this book to any PA, nurse, or any medical professional out there or just a curious reader/learner that wants to expand their medical horizons. This book showed me a unique personal touch from both authors of how passionate they are towards the theme and how much they will make a huge impact on the medical world through the readers and future practitioners! I STRONGLY URGE ALL TO CHECK OUT THIS BOOK.
I'm a practicing physician assistant and purchased this book as a review and to help prepare for my boards renewal. This book is setup to make for easy reading and pointers so one can cover as much or as little at each sitting. I just took a test on a subject I covered here and scored 100%. It seems to cover the important topics while making it easy and fun to recall. Pictures are useful for me as I am more of a visual learner.
The book is very fun, interesting, and catchy. I've owned the book for a couple days and find myself repeating some of the mnemonics while on my free time, which is great.
I friend of mine recommended this book to a colleague that is also a PA and out of interest I inquired about the book. I am a pharmacy student and am currently doing clinical rotations and decided to also purchase this book to see if it can help refresh on topics that I haven't reviewed in a while. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the pharmacology chapter, which is a must have for all pharmacy students, and all the other chapters as well. This is a tool that makes memorizing random facts and details less mundane and the technique works! Definitely recommend to all students in pharmacy school and even dental school students during their medical classes!!
I bought this book & I'm thoroughly impressed with it. It is an easy read & breaks everything down to understandable terms. I had this book autographed by the Author himself - Isaak Yakubov. Not only was he extremely nice, he even took a picture with me! I highly recommend this book to ANY med student. You wont be sorry you purchased it!
I purchased this book as a gift for my cousin in medical school. This book became her go to when it came down to her studying and found herself able to memorize different diseases she often struggled to remember. I am a practicing PA and find this helpful in studying for my boards as well as everyday work. I truly recommend this book for anyone who is a visual learner like myself who is studying medicine. Its a great tool for all PA or Medical students. It is presented in a manner that helps me us to memorize key elements in a simple and fun manner. The pictures are funny and helpful. I highly recommend this book as well as the other books written by this Author (Pance Prep Pearls) for all students as well as practicing providers.
This is a really great and fun book for any medical or pa student. The mnemonics and the cartoon pictures are creative and unique, which is helpful for committing things to memory. I find myself remembering random facts about diseases that I have not been able to memorize before. This book is a good compliment to Pance Prep Pearls which is another great review book.
