I thought that this book must have been rushed to market. I had gone through the Canon manual, the complete one, available on-line as a PDF. I used "Send to Kindle" and found it convenient to read. I also have "Canon 6D Experience - The Still Photography Guide to Operation and Image Creation with the Canon EOS 6D [Kindle Edition]". I thought both did a better, more reliable job of helping me learn the 6D. The first was free, the second only $9.99 as a Kindle only product. I am hoping some of the subsequent 6D books also prove to be useful. My first problem was that in a full color book, you have the chance to reinforce all the camera controls. However, when this book reaches that point, the picture of the camera parts is on a different page than the descriptions. And they did it three times, top, back and front. The LCD panel gets the half-way treatment. Viewfinder gets one description on the same page as the image. Three out of four for the camera connections, but my gripe here is that they used the exact same image of the ports two more times in the book (I'm being picky, here).Next up is the complete jumbling of Figures 2-9, which should be 2-10, and 2-11 which should be 2-9, whilst 2-10 should be 2-11 on pages 57-59. You can figure it out, but really.Page 69 a subtle misleading switching of Single Shooting Silent Mode with Continuous Shooting. The purpose was to identify the symbols with the description, but this book puts these two in the wrong listing order. On page 74 the author states that "If you capture images in the JPEG format . . . (you) can't do much with the image except crop it and perform minimal image editing". Raise your hand if you agree with that statement.
