Such a Fantastic Book in the Overview and Topic on all thing Futures Markets.A lot of Detail on the Seasonals and the way in which certain Markets tend to follow a seasonality type pattern.Carley also gives invaluable Tips on how to best trade and plan your trades on a ' Per " Futures market basis.I definitely recommend this book ...... 5 stars to be honest 4 for the book and 5 because Carly has an instinct to trading that probably can't be learned like a musician. If you are new to trading it's a must, read it before you and your money go your separate ways The parts of the book I'm most impressed with is she is 100% honest Carly helps you to find additional resources that others do not and her detail is pretty much unmatched .The book covers many important areas that other books do not . I personally don't buy into technical analysis I believe it works similar to an EKG telling the dr 1 is having a heart attack .Carly goes on to give strategy which is where her skill really begins I wish I'd of had access to this book 25 years ago .
If you have read any of Carley's previous books, you know she strives to make an otherwise dry subject interesting and writes with an emphasis on reality not fantasy. However, unlike her other books which seem to cater to newbies, this book offers some advanced discussions in addition to the necessary building blocks. I really enjoyed this book, and am confident traders of all sizes and skill levels would say the same. That said, I am giving it four stars, rather than five, because it probably could have been organized slightly better (although I admit it would be difficult to find a much better way to package so much information).
In Higher Probability Commodity Trading, Carley Garner shares more of her insightful thoughts and experience. (She has written four other books which are also very much worth the reading). Truthful, humorous, nearly always clever to the point of shrewdness, Carley brings to the reader what works, what does not, where to find it, and why.Do yourself and your trading account a favor - read this book (and her others) and learn what is truly important to be thinking about when trading.
