I got this to use as a projector. I put my iPhone on one end and taped this to the other side of a box. The image it projects is awesome and pretty defined. Not what it's meant for, but cool nonetheless. Works great as magnifying glass too.

Won't focus sunlight to start an ember as a firestarter. OK for reading fine print and save you the price of reading glasses.

I was very disappointed that this does not magnify unless you hold it up and away from the page... Sadly I bought two and would not buy them again.

Works just like a Fresnel lens.
