The RVT ecxam was by far the hardest ARDMS exam I have taken. I have breast, OB/GYN and Abdomen, and also RVT. In school I only learned carotid dopplers, upper and lower venous dopplers, Aorta, liver doppler and renal dopplers so all of the peripheral extremity doppler stuff was new to me. I have never even seen a transcranial doppler! This CD exam along with the Davies Vascular book helped me pass my exam and on the 1st try. The Davies Vascular book is basically a more elaborate version of the Edelman's book and this CD was very helpful with the concepts. Highly recommend anyone trying to take their RVT exam buys this review CD and the Davies Vascular book!
Davies products are always a good buy. You should get several different reviews and study them all, but if you need just a comprehensive reminder and study guide, then this is the one. It is worth the money!
What I love about this CD is that you can just study by answering the questions and it will explain the answer or you can take a test and see how well you did then you will know the area that you need to study more. It also tells you the percentage of each area that it on the registry.
JUST PASSED A PRE-REG EXAM TODAY :) GREAT TESTING ASPECT. IT IS VERY HELPFUL THAT THE ANSWERS ARE RIGHT THERE TO EXPLAIN YOUR WRONG ONE. SAVES A LOT OF TIME LOOKING THEM UP.
This CD contains a lot of questions that help me learn the vascular system, but it's a little expensive...

This review helped me out a lot. The questions on the actual exam favor the questions on the cd. Plus it helps you to prepare to sit in front of a computer for a couple of hours. I failed the exam before but after purchasing this cd I passed!
Couldn't have passed the RVT without this! Highly recommend the CD format. After you answer each multiple choice question (in study mode), you immediately are given the answer with a detailed explanation. I also love how you can jump to whichever question you had left off on the day before so you don't have to repeat questions. If you learn best by quizzing yourself, this is the way to go.
