The Pocket Atlas of Emergency Ultrasound is a very well done book with great images and concise explanations of how to use ultrasound as a diagnostic tool. While the title indicates that this book will be useful in the ER it could be used in many other outpatient and inpatient settings. The book is small and therefore can truly fit in the pocket of a white coat. The full contents of this book are also available for the iPhone,iPad and iPod touch. By purchasing the electronic app it can be used on all of these platforms for one price. On the iPhone this is truly a pocket guide. Watch this video to learn how the app works. Great book for those learning ultrasound. Covers all of the essential uses of emergency ultrasound. A few of the chapters in Ma's hardcover book are omitted, but these are extensively covered by FOAM podcasts and US uses change every month. This book is a day-to-day reference for me, while the hard cover, full text collects dust.
