My review is based on the fact that I have been working as an estate planning attorney for over 5 years and have a masters in taxation.Leimberg's book walks you through the easy essentials and goes all the way into the nitty gritty tax law that really makes or breaks estate plans. It breaks down complex concepts and makes them digestible.Want to know about basic revocable trusts? Check.Want to understand what a QTIP is and how it works? Check.Want to understand what a QPRT is and what issues you need to spot? Check.I recommend that every attorney in the area of estate planning own this book.If you are an attorney new to the area of estate planning, you MUST buy this book. It is extremely helpful. When the partner asks you to draft a certain type of trust, you should start here to get an understanding of what you need that document to accomplish.
