This book goes into concepts in a surface level. I was hoping it would show more step by step instructions, but mostly gives you links to help you start off. I also tried to sign up for the sites in the book and was greeted with will get back to you in the future. There were some parts that were useful to me, but the majority of the book was too general for what I was expecting. This may be useful for people starting out, but if you just need nuts and bolts, this isn't the book.
For me, this book was a complete waste of time.I already live in China, so I know about the environment and culture here. Also, I understand the basic principles of business. This book had good information on both of those aspects.But when it came specifically to importing, I have better information as a beginner than this book presents. This book is a self-glorifying expose of the author, who presents the information as informative but is born from condescension.I would recommend this book to college students who know nothing about China or business. For anyone who is interested in specifics, do not read.
Good info, a little redundant in places. Not a lot of secrets or insider info (in my opinion). If you're just beginning to research importing from China, this book will get you started in the right direction.
This book starts off with such generalized advice it is actually quite laughable. The last 2/3's of the book, however, is much better and I learned a lot (being completely new to importing). Other readers with a background in import/export may find this book too basic. Speaking for myself, it was a reasonably short and easy read, well worth the cost and time.
A concise introduction to importing from China. Useful links and useful information. I have already recommended it to two of my friends as a way to eventually quit their jobs and become a business owner.
This book provides the necessary information to get started selling items imported from China. It was well written and easy to follow. Starting a business felt daunting, but after reading, I felt like doing it was possible and I was more excited than scared. I definitely would recommend this book.
