I was gifted the GoPro Hero 4 Silver camera, however I am not the most tech savvy individual so was a little intimidated to use it until I discovered Jordan Hetrick's "How to Use the GoPro Hero 4 Silver". The instructions are easy to understand, laid out in a user friendly format and with so many great tips, I already feel like a pro who has been doing this for years! I especially found the section on editing super helpful as this is where I seem to get lost in taking lots of footage but not knowing what to do with it! This book is definitely a worthwhile buy for anyone looking to maximize their use of the GroPro Hero 4 Silver.
I finally got my first GoPro and decided to go with the 4 silver. To a first time user and for someone who basically used their phone to take pictures and videos. These cameras have a lot of options that are far outside my basic knowledge and without at least some basic understanding of what each feature does, you will lower the quality of your videos and pictures and not be as satisfied with you purchase. This book did an excellent job of explaining how all the features work and even gives examples of when to use each feature to which make it easier to understand. This way you don't have to learn what does and doesn't work in certain situations and it even gets the wheels in your head turning on new ideas and ways to use your camera. I probably would have been overwhelmed with this camera if I hadn't gotten this book.
An excellent book for a GoPro beginner. Lots of pictures and good explanations on most topics.
WAY TOO MUCH space given to mounts and not enough to recommended settings for specific applications. A few pages with bullitized settings for common situations would be much more useful than 35 pages describing mounting hardware.
Clear step by step instructions on how to setup and use the GoPro camera. Great recommendations on which mounts to use for a particular video session and which camera settings to use in order to capture the action.
I bought the book thinking it would cover the camera completely. However, the majority of the book talked about placement of the camera and how to attach the camera for the dramatic effects. I found the title to be misleading.
Great book for the beginner with plenty of easy to understand info to get you to become a more advanced shooter.
This book is great if you are new to Gopro. It gave me a few tips and tricks. Obviously you can find some info on youtube, but this book also gives you ideas on where and how to use the go pro, which mounts to use for that certain activity, which settings are best for what you plan to do. Overall its a great book. If you are not new to go pro it might be a little basic for you.
