This book was actually one of the better psychology books available. It gets to the point most of the time but it does have a lot of story fillers and DSM-5 excerpts.I recommend this over many of the psychology books out there.
This is an excellent textbook. It's thought-provoking, yet easy to understand. I love that the DSM-V criteria are included in the chapters, and the little stories do a great job of exemplifying certain behaviors/symptoms.This was one of the few textbooks that I've wanted to keep after ended of the semester. If you're a professor, definitely consider using this as the textbook for your class!
I don't normally rate textbooks but I love this book. It's written very simply with lots of examples/accounts to help you grasp real world applications of the information. Very informative and easy to follow!
This Abnormal Psychology textbook is an informative, concise, and well written textbook. It uses easy to understand language, as well as tables and diagrams to help portray the information. It covers a wide range of topics from the field of abnormal psychology,in an in-depth and helpful way.
This book is easy to follow and understand. It has a reference section for each disorder based on DSM IV. It also emphasizes that these mental disorders lie on a spectrum. If there is a new edition out, I would recommend getting that because it will have the updated information about DSM V.
This book has so much in it, I will be keeping it with my DSM 5. It covers prevention too!
I had to have this book for a class I'm taking and was worried it wouldn't show up in time. Just as stated in , the book arrived the next day and still more inexpensive than the bookstores. Slightly used, as mentioned, but on time and helped me ace my first test!
This is a great book in any platform! I purchased the kindle edition for class, and it was worth every penny. It tends to load slowly sometimes, but not often!
