I rented it and when I received it it had a spill on the bottom corner of the whole book. It smelled funny and alot of the pages were stuck together. First time I ever receive a rental in such bad condition. Specially for the money I paid! I had no choice but to make it work since my class had started.
Bought this book for my psychology class...figured I'd save $10 off the bookstore price. Turns out I am spending $30 more because it doesn't include the Connect code I need. Buy this somewhere else!
The content of this book is fine, if you can view it. If you want to view it electronically, you should know that the eBook cannot be read on Kindle for Windows 8, so you will have to view it on another Kindle application. At first, I was able to view it just fine on Kindle for PC, but I was unable to re-download it after I reformatted my computer. I spent a on the phone with , and all the options we tried did not fix the problem. Thankfully, they refunded my money, but I now I need to rent the slightly more expensive, paperback version of the book.It is unclear if the problems I had with the Windows for PC app were unique to my situation, or if they would apply to anybody else in those circumstances. I do think they are noteworthy, especially since there wasn't a real solution to my problem. (And really, how can any eBook not work for Windows 8 by now?)
For class I need some promo code so I can do my homework online and what do you know....no code in the book. To rent this POS is about $40 and to get the "code" from McGraw Hill online is about $80....this book brand new with the code is about $120. WTF?!? waste of time and money
What a rip off! This textbook is a prime example of educational publishers creating superfluous editions in order to inflate prices. Also, the CD included with the textbook is for PC only. They included a PC-only CD in 2013. That shows how much they put into improving this edition.
So far (half way through the book) I've been able to find the information needed on tests. However, the chapters are out of order from the U.S. version, so if you don't pay attention to the chapter titles it could be a problem. Over all though I'd say it was worth it to save about $100.
Book is great condition. Just didn't come with the access code needed for the class. I thought it would come with it for the hefty price I paid. Ended up having to spend more on the code in addition.
This book came in great condition, you can't really tell it's used because it feels brand new!All pages are intact and nothing is missing. The cover is nice and smooth, no edges are folded back.Worth renting!
