An outstanding reference to gain insight of the Colonial political thought to understand how the U.S. Constitution was drafted. Refers to documents and speeches from the early 1600's. It is commonly known that colonists believed and insisted that they possessed the same "rights" as Englishmen in the home country. I did not receive the book (volume 1) ordered, but volume 2 instead. I wrote an email to the bookstore advising that I received the wrong volume, and requested information on what I needed to do to obtain Volume 1 and return Volume 2, but received no answer.
