This is an excellent guide to volunteering for a board. One should never enter a game without knowing the rules. Similarly, one should not volunteer without reading this book. It outlines clearly what may be in store for a potential board member and mandates that you accept the position with "eyes wide open." The book is well written, contains excellent advice and I would recommend it to all good-hearted volunteers.
My Board President asked if she could borrow my first copy and apparently she has no plan to return it- so I ordered an additional one.It has been a great help especially vetting potential board candidates.
