Excellent book which covers a wide range of subjects, as informed at its the editorial review! Practical examples and photographs that support them are provided all along the book, so that they meet the needs of every professional into the international logistics area. It is not an academic work, although the author cites many references that support his allegations.
This book is required for a course in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I am currently working on a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This book is very informative and has great pictures as well as diagrams. I would be interested in reading this book even if I were not working on a degree. Great book!
Since retiring 5 years ago, I have been teaching International Logistics at a local college, using the Pierre David/Richard Stewart publication as my text. Even though I spent my entire 37-year career working for the same Fortune 100 company, I was privileged to have held a dozen different positions and responsibilities in international trade. In spite of my broad range of experience, I learned things from this book and find it to be well written, easy to read, comprehensive, and factual. I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about this field and tell my students to keep it as a reference if they intend to be involved in global business.
It was suggested by my professor as a supplemental reading material. It is pretty well written and educational enough. Good book.
