Bought it for my tween's junior high history classes .... obviously there are many more images available in google's image search ...but some of those will be bogus ... and for when we want to go through some offline it's handy to have this reference work

Identifying US sailors as soldiers is reprehensible in any Civil War book. The epic battle between the ironclads in Hampton Roads did not take place in Chesapeake bay as the text states several times. However the photos are genuine, and can be enjoyed by anyone interested in the American Civil War.
