This is an excellent book which gives a very good introduction to the field of peri-operative TEE. It is much better than the older version with new chapters on the upcoming field of 3-D ECHO. A must have for any one trying to master TEE in general.
I know this book is a classic but I found it to be rather difficult to follow...Perrino's book, although less detailed, explains things in a much easier format....The DVD, however, has excellent clips that help in the review process for the NBE exam...
Very good book, contain good pictures and videos .Updated with recent developments in the field of TEE required in the field of cardiac anesthesia and peri operative care especially 3D echo.....
Very thorough and clear book. DVD videos very helpful but would not work on my Mac, and several weeks of attempts by tech support hasn't helped.
For a text intent on explaining the principles and practices of echocardiography, the authors do a very poor job in conveying their obviously detailed knowledge to the reader. New concepts are rapidly introduced with either no explanation or no examples, relying on the reader to find other resources to provide a better grasp on the ideas. Whilst the depth is excellent, I was quite disappointed in the text and found others much more useful for concepts, relying only on this text for its greater depth.
the book is ok but the dvd doesn't work with MAC yosemite.
It is a good book, But I can't diagnosis after finishing readed it. I need read more book to help me learning how to diagnosis.
Very good book, clear and concise, instructive. CD coudl be better sorted, Ideally USB disc woudl be more appropriate. Othewise I am satisfied
