I really like the photos and the advice they gave me in this book. I come from a background of photography in college and started my business for about over a year. This really got more in depth into more attention to details, stylized shooting, poses, paying attention to environment etc. It helped me think of ways to take my shoots to the next level for both customers and portfolio pieces. I have also bought several other books, The Design Aglow posing guide for wedding photography, The Art of Engagement Photography, and Fine Art Wedding Photography and this book tops all of those books I read. It is by far most modern and most close to my style.
Love this book. Its really well written and the layout is perfect. I take it with me everywhere to read. The images, descriptions, details, etc. are just on the dot. Better than Jose Villa's and Elizabeth Messina's book. This book really gets into the details and not just show pretty images.
This book is great! I had done a personal mentoring session with Stephanie Williams years ago and it was great to get a refresher on all the things she taught me and learn sooooo much more! This book is very thorough in its explanations and really covers the in's and out's of engagement/portrait photography! You're going to love it!
I found this book to touch on every aspect that a photographer needs to consider while growing their wedding business. It was not over the top nor full of ads trying to sell you something. It was full of artistry, technique and business ideas. The title states it all.
I love this book, I was expecting a glorified coffee table book, but figured I would get some good photo inspiration from the photos. Not only did the photos inspire me, but she really talked about how she achieved those photos, how to get published, props, trends in the industry and business.
This book is one of my favorites because it REALLY gives you great tips and techniques using film! I love that they also reference digital as well :) very good read and VERY helpful!
