Aside from all the typos in this book, the terminology is not consistent. Also and most importantly why I find this of no value, is that all of the content is on DJI own brochures, and DJI's own website. This is more like a Book'let', than a book. And obviously a paid collateral piece by the manufacture. So If you are considering a purchase of a quad, get the facts straight. This book will lead to pilot errors. This is no more than a rehash and cliff notes that is on the website. Yet still riddled with typos and mistakes. Save your money, and just go to DJI website.
Not much new here compared to the manual. Might be good for someone who has yet to buy, but for an owner it is practically useless. Many errors, as well.
I have to respectfully disagree with a previous comment. As a novice drone pilot I found Issod's book extremely valuable in helping me make the decision to buy the DJI Phantom 3. While the manual is not bad, it is a manual. This book explains the features and functions of the Phantom 3 in great detail and in a way that is easy to follow and understand. It is also loaded with some great diagrams. When I flew the Phantom for the first time, I felt a lot more confident and knowledgeable thanks to the info in the book.
Great introduction to the larger concepts I will need to build upon to start my new journey with the Phantom pro. Reading this book was time well spent.
Do yourself a favour. Save the money & look up the info in Internet. You'll get lots of Phantom 3 reviews, news, tutorials in YouTube & online sources.
It summarizes owning and flying a Phantom 3 pretty well. Made me want to get one, but I'll wait to see what shakes out of the FAA.
Pretty much the manual in print, which you pay for, ....again.... Not recommended when thinking of buying a phantom drone.
Good book for a drone newbie like me. Would not suggest it to somebody who has been in RC or drones for a long time.
