I added this to my Kindle cloud reader let's explore the solar system planets because I teach first and second grade. The students are always mesmerized by the solar system and I have to admit I am as well. Nonfiction is also something that we cover a lot. This is published by speedy publishing. In terms of photographs and images I would say the page that talks about dwarf planets is probably the most amazing however all the photographs are very good. Not only does it talk about the planets but it also talks about the astroid belt. Which makes me wonder if the paperback version of this book has more information in it. One thing that I really like about this book is that it describes each planet in order starting with the sun the vocabulary is not very intense for a second grader however I can see where they would need some help like with the word atmosphere or surface temperature or hydrogen compounds or helium or natural satellite. I think the text placement and the images is nicely done I like that it is done and then orderly way. I do believe that this book could be a little bit more interesting if it had captions or labels to the photographs.I also think that there needs to be a title page a table of contents a glossary perhaps of those words I mentioned earlier and an index. I am not sure if the paperback version has these or not. Coming from a teacher's point of view I would like to see more non-fiction text features. However if you are simply using this with a child at home to read for enjoyment and pleasure I think it is perfectly fine that it does not have many text features and it is simply a book describing the planets in the astroid belt.
