This is a nice and plain instructional "how to" book with no extra or unnecessary information. Just what you need to draw acceptable hands. Good but lean, practical but comprehensive enough for the beginner Manga artist.
Breaks down how to draw the hand in different poses. It is a really small book. Only about 13 pages from what I can remember. But it has good examples, and helpful tips on how to draw hands. It helped me a lot. Worth it for the price.
Drawing is a hobby, so I'm not a professional manga artist. But what I like about this book is that it's short, concise and is loaded with tips. It does cover the basics of the proportions of the hands and the relationship between the palm and fingers and thumb. It also shows some of the underlying anatomy which is always good to reconnect with.If you're creating a character of your own it's a great reference to have on a Kindle or iPad or other tablet. Instead of flipping through a larger book you can go straight to this guide to get ideas for how to use the hands in a character's position/stance.
Koda Tadashi doesn't promise to teach you everything you need to know about drawing hands, because he knows that's impossible to do in one book. Instead he shows some helpful tips for people already practicing art who are have issues with this one area. Personally I thought the first picture was worth the price of admission by itself. It was great getting a primer on the one thing I needed help with instead of buying a book for a single chapter.
Good instructional guide at a great price. I find hands to be a bit tough to perfect sometimes, this book provides good instruction and sound techniques. It can be a bit hard to read on some kindle devices, it's scanned images of the text and can be hard to zoom in on.
This book is great if you have a hard time drawing hands the references are great and it gives some great pointers i recommend it. And of course the price is wonderful.
This has very basic info on hands, I do not think its for someone new to drawing. But it's only $1 so I would say give it a shot you may like it.
I've had nothing but difficulties learning to draw hands and this helped me a lot!!!! It teaches what you normally don't learn in the books!
