The conversion of the text from the written book to the e-book version is somewhat garbled. For example, the subscripts and super scripts seem to give them the most trouble. However, the biggest complaint I have is that the tables and photos are only scanned in, and are not re-sizable. In many cases, the text within is so garbled as to be useless. Finally, the instructor of the course set much of the reading material to reference specific page numbers in the hard cover text (i.e. read pages 84-88, or look at table on page 1014). This makes the references all but impossible, as the e-book does not provide true page references. Found that I may have saved a few bucks, and perhaps a few pounds, but the learning experience was made tremendously more challenging.
I love that this book comes with PrepU! I use that way more than actually reading the text.But anyway the text is pretty clear, not too dense, organized well. I wish it had some more examples, but overall I think it's clear and a good text book. I don't notice too many typos or grammar problems, like I have in a lot of other nursing texts.
Does not have online access code. They made me buy a separate prep u part that did not come with the online version. Useless.Don't buy the ebook, it does not same you money or space. If you have to, buy the hard copy.
I needed this book for my nursing school. was selling the exact same book for $121(it went up to $131 one time).Comparing $69.96+3.99(S&H)=$73.95 to $121 was easy, but I thought the cheaper book, i will miss something.I took a chance and order it. I ordered this book for my Med Surg class because I specifically needed the access code and was very skeptical because of the cheap price. I received it earlier than expected AND it came with the access code! A completely BRAND NEW BOOK for under 50 dollars!! So glad I made the right choice!
I don't usually write reviews, however the awesome service that was provided by this seller can't be overlooked. I ordered a used copy of the Med-surg book since I am a budget conscious student. you can imagine my joy when I got the book not only way before the expected delivery date.. but I was actually given a new book for the price of a used one. for that alone, this seller has a customer for life.
Easy book to read, great illustrations and graphs. I think it is a very useful book as reference for any nursing student. The workbook is great to help you narrow information down.
This book was of course required, but it carries me though all three med surg classes! It has just enough detail and reminds you of the pathology. It's pretty straight to the point which I love!
