A great book that really demystifies the interview process and prepares you for the questions that interviewers have for you, and more importantly, lets know know what the real questions and character traits an organization is looking for, not just the stock questions that they throw out. I found it to be very interesting and useful, a must buy for recent grads, or anyone who is looking to brush up on their interview skills.
A really special book about job interview. Unlike those canned Q&A books available on the market, this book makes you think about the fundamental nature of job interview and understand the real questions behind questions. This book also guides you to find your own interview answers and through the process, you can understand deeper about yourself, accept yourself, and thus building better confidence for interview.Just one bad thing is that the book cover is quite lame. That I do not want to read this in a train.
The first reaction to this book, based on reading its publicity blurb, is probably unprintable, thanks due to similar-sounding books all promising instant solutions, sunshine and more besides. However, one has to be impartial and neutral, giving a book a chance, and to one’s surprise within a few pages this book that promises to give a guide to many difficult interview questions was growing on the reader.Of course, one cannot be certain what questions may be asked at an employment interview, even though inevitably a lot of them will be based around a theme or two, so the trick with a book like this is to get a handle on some of the more difficult, possibly strange or hard-to-answer questions, be a little forewarned and be forearmed in the process. You still have to answer the questions, but you won’t (hopefully) sound like a doofus or do an impression of a goldfish.On this basis, the book surpassed one’s expectations. It felt as it was a credible, sensible and helpful resource rather than something that blows smoke up the reader’s posterior. It really is a case of read it and see. In some ways, you don’t even need to be looking for a new job to get some benefit out of this book. It has the potential, through analysis of the questions and guidance, to even help you better articulate what you want to say in relation to many questions and situations. It is capable of changing your mind and your approach to communicating, if you are prepared to invest the time into it. Of course, you might then be looking for a new job and the book can step up to the plate with any interviews you may face.Competitively priced, this may be one of your better investments in the long-term.
