I was delighted to read such an informative book. Looks like the author did lots of research to come up with so many people of the past. For nostalgia buffs, this book is a must. Very interesting. I’m so glad he came out with a second edition with all the updates as it's fun to see where the stars are now. I look forward to the next book and highly recommend this one. Beverly Radell
I love nostalgia books. I'm a 62-year old Baby Boomer. The other thing I love is photos of the stars and celebrities I loved from my childhood of being "glued to the TV." The section on Our Gang is my favorite in this book. I was "Oh So Happy" to see that Ron Ebner included a section on my all-time favorite, Jack Elam, the Best of the Bad Guys. I loved every page of Hollywood Celebrities: Where Are They Now?
It was okay. Nothing to jump up and down about. Stats of actors you kind of forgot about mixed in with listings of every movie and tv show that particular actor was ever in. A lot of actors in the book were on the Mickey Mouse Club show. The best part for me was an addendum at the end giving updates of the various actors that appeared in the Our Gang/Little Rascal movies.
Everyone wonders about what happened to film and TV stars who are no longer little rascals, nor adult rapscallions and this is a succinct, easy reading book that will "give you the goods". There are also others you may have forgotten that you will discover once again. A liesurely adjunct to a cup of tea or a substitute for all the horrid things on CNN or in your newspaper. [For the younger set, a newspaper is something not on a machine that you can read to learn and enjoy things.]
