The book has a wide range of cases designed to widen the student's knowledge and perspective and have him/her prepared to be on the cutting edge of clinical practice. I would have liked a few more sample answers though.
Best textbook I've used in my entire educational career as far as content goes. As with all textbooks, they are already out of date the time you get them, however much of this is still applicable as of 7/16. High quality photos, good color, and it works great as a paperweight to hold down your desk in a tornado. This book has been used in multiple classes in my pharmacy career, making it a worthwhile purchase.*NOTE: My school provided me with online access for FREE, check to see if you get this before buying it! The online version is the same (but has different page numbers)!
As of last week I prepared to do an assigned case study from class and noticed I was missings pgs 105-135 my entire G.I. system case studies are not there. I was hugely disappointed and forced to find other means to gather the much needed information. Who ever sent this book should be ashamed for taking someone's money knowing an entire section was missing. If you zoom in on my picture you will see it goes from page 104 straight to page 137. This is unacceptable considering I also paid for an expedited item.
The book has no solutions just some cases without answers to the questions/cases..it's useless to me unfortunately I discovered that late otherwise I could have returned it back.I bought it to help in my NAPLEX exam.
The case studies are great, wish there was an answer key or suggestions for appropriate treatments somewhere so that I knew I was on right track.
A Good casebook that actually complements its text. Very good resource for students to explore and enhance learning.
Required for a class but a really great book. Has little punny headings with every case and great information.
The questions were at times repetitive however for the most part it was informative and beneficial.
