I've always been a math person and was disappointed that this was a required book for nursing school because the problems for me felt like busy work.If you do have trouble with math, this book will be helpful in which it includes step by step solutions for practically every problem in the back of the book. The solutions are shown in two formats: Proportional and Dimensional Analysis.I do enjoy that it includes a plastic pocket units/formula guide.
I'm working through this book right now for my nursing pharm class. The author errors are starting to really drive me crazy. I am trying to go into the back of the book to check my work, and the author explains the wrong question under the question I am trying to find! I've come across multiple other errors as well. Aside from the errors the book is relatively well made and explains the math well. If they could fix all the author errors it would be a great book!

I love the condition my book came in. I am a sophomore nursing student and this book will be my math bible for the next five semesters. I am glad it came with the calculation card intact and the pages were not written on. The price was AWESOME since it was affordable. And my book came within three days before the start of the semester.
A good book in pretty good condition. I have enjoyed using it thus far. Be warned it literally starts at the beginning so you may have to skip a chapter if you feel like you'rein grade school again.
It makes me feel like someone in the medical fiel already, because the way the calculations are set up is very clear and understandtandable.
