This is my favorite drug guide. I have Mosby's and Davis' drug guides which I purchased before this one. I perfer the format, color coding and summaries of Perarson's. I'm a nursing student and I constantly refer to this text and need one that is easy to read and easy to flip to the right section.
Love this book! I like that I don't have to actually carry a book with me on the floor. The only downside is that when you look up a med in search, it takes you to the glossary instead of to the page with the med info. Other than that it's good!
Very good reference material. Having it in my Kindle makes it quite easy to use. I did have some problems with my professor when I referenced this as "2016," since it is still 2015. She was not convinced.
I am currently a paramedic student and we were required to have a nursing drug guide book for pharm. No two students got the same book and some were very dissatisfied with theirs. I have no such dissatisfaction, this book is great and well worth the money. If you have to do drug profiles like I do this is very helpful, although it will not give you absolutely all the information you will need. To make a drug profile, I use this book, my text book, drugs.com and micro medics. Again, great book to have either going into the medical field (even EMT basic) or as a practicing nurse or paramedic.
Very helpful and informative for nursing students! Not only does it give information on the classification of the drug and what it does, but it also gives specific nursing interventions as well as important information patients need to know.
