This is a magnificent book for the optic professional and will most likely be on you shelf and referred to for the duration of your career. I highly recommend this book if you are an optician or if you are training to be an optician. The reason the new version is so much more costly than the used version is the lens cutting templates kit that come with the new version. They are worth more than the book and buying the book used without the kit is not getting the same value, especially if you are an optician training to cut lenses.
