I rented this book to prepare myself for ophthalmic technician, its very detail oriented book with sections about anatomy of eye, skull and orbit, blood supply, pharmacology, photochemistry of vision, neuroanatomy, and so on.
I was required to purchase this book. In the two years I was a student in a COMT program, I rarely used it. I did however, buy The Ophthalmic Assistant by my own choice and used it extensively. I cannot give this book any credit for my passing the COMT exam on my first try.
One of my coworker has passed the COMT exam by studying this book alone. Also, the COMT course is taught from this book along with other materials.
This book has good information in it, some of the information is a little dated, but it will suite my needs.
