First, this is a *very* good book and nothing else that I say detracts from that. I'm looking forward to reading his other books.Second, this isn't a new, ground-breaking analysis and everything here has been said before. Such is understandable because there has been so much written about trading markets that just about *everything* is a restatement of some sort or other. Wyckoff Theory (Tape Reading), for instance, presented much of what is here more than a century ago. That's not a bad thing because the author has a distinct perspective and presents the subject clearly; albeit much more thinly than the much richer Wyckoff Theory.Third, my major issue with this presentation is that it is way too simplistic and (largely) ignores the role of volume and the quality/nature of *all* the price bars in the action. IMHO, it is crazy NOT to use this information because such can change interpretation of the price action, dramatically. In combination with the price action noted here, this additional information can make things *much* clearer. To (perhaps) encourage your further study, I'll give two examples: The author places a whole lot of importance on what he calls "pin bars"; bars where the extreme is far away from the nearer of the open or the close. You *really* need to know what volume was associated *at the extreme* of this bar (gleaned from a lower timeframe) to judge its importance because, basically, what the bar implies generally is simply that someone made a mistake in taking the opposite position to this action; selling to a buyer *way* too low or buying from a seller *way* to high. Unless volume is high *at the extreme* it is NOT at all an important bar.
