I have David's book on A7r II and only thing I regretted on this book that I bought paper copy instead of kindle. I got A6000 book on kindle and love it. I can take it with me on smartphone and look up things in a field. A6000 guide is very similar to A7r II guide in structure with many practical tips and illustrations. Very helpful to me and must have for somebody who never had alpha camera.
This is a really good guide for serious photographers with the A6000. The Sony manual is not very useful but you'll know everything you need to know about the camera, if you read the book thoroughly. I also highly recommend watching the DVD that usually comes with the camera package.
Like nearly all of David Busch's books, he hits a home run again here in detailing the aspects, functions, and usage of the Sony A6000. This camera product has been superseded by the newer A6300, however, the A6000 (which was the follow-on) to the 5xxx series is a powerful small camera. Sony's "on-Line" (Cascading Sheets methodology) in their so-called detailed users manual is poor at best! David Busch's A6000 and A6300 books provide the user/owner with all the details one can utilize. Nice job David.
Great guide for a fairly complicated camera. It is very detailed and can be easily used as a reference guide for both the simple and the complex. The fact that he is a knowledgeable photographer and helps you use the camera to achieve your photography goals is key. Not just a technical guide for the camera.
Very thorough and starts with basics for us newbies to photography. I can't speak for the advanced crowd, as I am not advanced enough to make a statement. On reading, it goes into the very complex world of the Sony Alpha 6000 which I really like. His tips are extremely helpful. I will use this book for some time to come for sure. It is written for regular people to read, you do not need a degree in engineering to understand what he is saying. However, that said, it will definitely take one to highly complex use and complete mastery of this camera.
This book is designed very well and has informed me of much about the a6000, and actually, all owners of this camera could benefit from having this book. Ordered it very late on Thursday and was reading it one week later :)
As usual, David Busch's books are just what the doctor ordered. It thoroughly explains, in an interesting manner, all the workings of the camera. I bought this book because I also liked his book on the Sony NEX. Highly recommended!
Had hoped to find David's Field Guide due to size but apparently not published for the a6000. This is as thorough as it can be. Good reference and clarifies some questions about my a6000.
