A great guide to understand and learn commodities trading. I thought commodities was mostly gold, oil and soybean but the book showed there is more than that. As someone who is interested in learning how to do trading this gave me a good foundation about the history of commodities trading, the type of risks involved trading commodities and the steps in developing a good plan of trading commodities. The book is very well written and easy to understand for anyone.
This book provides some great advice for first time investors and mature investors. I myself was pretty new to commodities, only having invested in shares and property in the past, but this has provided some great insight into making returns in this particular field as well. Although I'm just starting out, I'm confident with the advice and knowledge I've gained from this guide it will be well worth the read! Thanks a lot
I picked up this book wanting to explore the world of trading commodities. To be honest I didn’t know very much about it, just a little from a few conversations that I have had. After reading this little guide though I think I know enough to get me started. There are some aspects that make me realize that it may be more risk than I’m looking to take on at the moment, but it was pretty in depth and showed me that it is something I might want to take on later and now I will have the know how to do so.
Whatever the minimum requirements for a "book" are, this publication clearly doesn't meet them. Although padded with a few extraneous chapters on trading history, the its only real content, a single illustration showing that trading commodities involves leverage, wouldn't even merit a pamphlet. That it's filled with recurring a-grammatecisms and rhetorical dead-ends only adds to the impression that the text was dictated during a short commute and not checked afterwards.On the bright side, it was a relief to discover that only charges $2.99. Even so, you'd be better spending this on something w/ more calories.
If you want a book of platitudes that are phrased to apply to commodities trading, this is it. This is not a book fro beginners; it doesn't try to teach anything. It's hard for a $3 book to be overpriced, but this one is.
