This is riddled with gender and social biases that undermines the information it is meant to provide. This is particularly evident in topics such as domestic abuse where the authors directs the discussion entirely towards women, despite the fact that rates of domestic abuse are comparable between men and women. Bates is somewhat better, but still not with the times.

I bought this book to adopt as a text for internal medicine residents I'm teaching and precepting as part of an integrated behavioral medicine curriculum. It is well written and very relevant for the medical learner. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating was because of the packaging/delivery. The book arrived tattered on the edges with many pages folded over.

Much better than previous versions!! A good overview filled with the latest research findings for clinical relevance.

Seems okay, but am disappointing because it doesn't cover the psychotic disorders, like schizophrenia.

The writing is so small that it feels like a long read. But it has a lot of great information.

Good text.

This is an excellent prep for obtaining a physician/PA mentality.
