Several years ago my wife and I started visit Oregon's covered bridges as a low impact activity as she recovered from major surgery. One of the bridges featured in this book is the Larwood Bridge which we visited.. I hope to make a model of this by scaling down the dimensions given in this book.
This is a very well done book about covered bridges and their detailed structure, complete with blueprint drawings, etc. It is of high quality. My copy lists Thomas E. Walczak as the author, who is a friend of mine. I don't understand why he isn't mentioned as the author in the listing. I do recommend it, anyway!
Bought for Stepdad, if you like covered bridges, this is a must have. The design of the different bridge types appeals to those more mechanically inclined.
Lots of construction details.
