This is a wonderful book. It's such a small/friendly size, that it's truly the perfect coffee table book, when you don't have much of a coffee table. I am a babysitter in my down-time, and so I have kids over quite often - and they all just love this book. The cover is a soft/plush kind of plastic material, which is also more travel-friendly/scratch-resistant than some of the other options. I think this book is amazing, I see places I've lived and seen decades ago, and seeing the "then and now", it's complete nostalgia. Let alone the fact that it's actually really cool - not just nostalgic and personal. I've lived all over Florida, my boyfriend, too, and sometimes we go through this book just to look at places we've been - sometimes we go through it to find places to go. It's great. The photos are clear, some are smaller/older, and some are HD-like. It's wonderful to go through this.Note, I also got this relatively cheaper than it was going - I waited until my cart alerted me that it had decreased, and honestly - I would've paid the few dollars extra (7$, exactly) to have gotten it sooner, because I love this book that much.
All I expected - I really liked the pictures - since I am a native Floridian I knew many of the places as they were long ago - well, pretty long ago!
My husband and I enjoy looking through this little book. Nice hardback. It's neat seeing what places looked like over 100 years ago and the same spot in modern day. Would have given it a five but needed more
As stated in other reviews, the photos are great and there are a lot of them (it's a small book, but very fat!). However, most of the photos have no identification, and the Table of Contents telling what part of Florida the photos are taken at is useless because the pages are not numbered.
