Great collection of paintings by Gustav Klimt. This collection of 24 paintings of this artist will be great for artist studies in homeschool and I plan to use it for that purpose. I especially love that Stanley Cesar included The Garden Path with Chickens, Beech Forest, and Malcesine at Lake Garda. Stunning paintings and we love how they are made available in this collection for use in teaching children appreciation of great art.
Germanic Paintings 18th/19th Centuries : Moving on from Dutch painters like Vermeer we took 3 lefts until we found our first Klimt painting. It was real interesting to see the diversity in his paintings from the portrait "Sonja Knips" to "Garden Path with Chicken" which made the kids laugh. All right, already, let's see some French artists like Monet next given we are in the Louvre. And if you care to begin at the start of our pretend trip please go back to da Vinci if you like.
These small art books for kids are an excellent way to introduce our precious children to art and culture. Hopefully more of these ideas will be made available to kids of all ages. I can't say enough good things about them.
Wow, I was not familiar with these paintings! However, I am so glad I found these books, and I want to say, they aren't just for children! Gustav Klimt painted some great paintings, some I loved, some I was ambivalent toward, but still appreciated they were well executed paintings.As for the person complaining they could not see them, I would advise he/she open them in the Kindle app for their OS, and view them on their computer. Makes a world of difference in your ability to see them. My favorite is Malcesine on Lake Garda, 1913, and next fav is Church in Cassone. This compiler (no authoring here) compiles 24 paintings, slaps on 24+ different covers all with the same 24 pictures. Pictures and titles. No narrative or discussion about the painter or the painting. Waste of time to download even if its free. The Masters of Art series on most of the same painters are much more comprehensive.
This is a great way to introduce anyone to art. Short and simple and representative of an Artist`s work this can help a person learn more about many more artists and form a small collection easily.
Mary Cassatt's paintings are found under the title Gustav Klimt. Another unexpected surprise. Don't download these books if you have your heart set on a particular artist.
