Fantastic!I have planned to write a theatre script for the last 40 years or so. Now I finally had time to do it. I followed the instructions of this book in detail. And, in those 25 days I did write my first theatre script, starting from scratch. Yes, it does need rewriting. Without the help of Tony's text my working would not have been that productive, and it would have been much less fun.Once I have rewritten and developed further this first play of mine, I will start working with my next idea. Then I will definitely open Tony's book again and follow his excellent teachings. I have read approximately 50 books that tell you how to write scripts. Without any hesitation I can say, this is the best I have seen.
Designed to work with how you think as an individual. You follow the steps your way, although it is still concrete guidance. Truly helpful, good for expanding you imagination, your creativity, even if your not very creative, like me and teaches you how to set up for the play you are going to write, prepare yourself and your characters, then gets you through writing it.I got this with the electronic download, I wish a hard copy had been available, if one becomes so, I will buy it!Great playwrighting tool!
This book can aid with practice writing. I don't recommend you try writing a masterpiece in such a short time, but it will be good to engage your practice.
The title sounds so hokey, but I was desperate to finish my play. This book catapulted me to the finish line in 2 weeks. Priceless guide to get you there!
Like most of the titles promising "in 10 days" or such and such...it takes longer. The big plus is, it gives you a process that actually gets you going and gives you the guidelines you need to stay on track.
